The Michael Myers starring
characters: John Carpenter buddy
Nick Castle played the 1st Michael
Myer, "The Shape."
Tony Moran played the twenty-one
year-old "Michael Myer."
And Jim Winburn, "stunt double for
Michael Myers charcter."
There were many unsung heroes on
"Halloween 1978," Don Behrn, the
Production Manager, Tommy Lee
Wallace, Production Designer, Props
and my long time friend Debra Hill
Co-Screen Writer, Producer, and
Jack De Wolf, Ray Stella, Walt Hill,
Tommy Causey, Craig Stearns and
many others.
What would John Carpenter do if Dean Cundey director of photography and Ray Stella the first camera operator wasn't on the film? Well, John of course would gotten another camera crew. But Dean Cundey at that time was one of the best independent DP & cameraman in the business, plus he had all his own equipment.
They were many young film makers on "Halloween 1978" When you look at the crew list, you will see a group of people that when on through the years to be tops in their departments.
The all around cowboy on the set was Tommy Lee Wallace. Working as the Production Designer and editor. This man talent brought to life John Carpenter vision to the silver screen.
As a stunt person knowing and working with Debra Hill, Don Behrns and Dean Cundey on many other low budget films before "Halloween 1978." Allow me to meet John Carpenter and becomes the stunt double for Michael Myer.
Thirty-one plus years later. I look back and thank Debra Hill and Don Behrns for being my friend and co-worker, and for asking me to come and work on Debra Hill and John Carpenter production of
